How to Get to Trappeto
Trappeto is a Sicilian coastal town on the Palermo-Trapani line and is straightforward to reach by regional train from Palermo. A hire car is handy for exploring smaller beaches and the surrounding countryside.
Falcone-Borsellino Airport Palermo (PMO): Palermo’s airport is the main gateway for Trappeto. The drive from Palermo airport to Trappeto is about 35-50 minutes by car depending on traffic; taxis and car hire are common options.
Trapani-Birgi Airport (TPS): Trapani airport is farther and less convenient for Trappeto than Palermo, but still an option; driving from TPS takes about 1-1½ hours.
Train: Trappeto is on the Palermo-Trapani regional rail line; trains from Palermo Centrale to Trappeto take roughly 40-50 minutes on regional services and are an economical option (regional Trenitalia services).
Bus: Regional buses also connect Palermo with Trappeto and other coastal towns; bus times depend on the operator and route, and buses are a practical option if train times don’t match your schedule.
