Tower Grove Park is a Victorian-era municipal park in south St. Louis, Missouri, created from land donated by botanist and philanthropist Henry Shaw in the late 19th century.
The park contains ornamental pavilions and bandstands, tree-lined promenades, formal lawns and planted beds that reflect 19th-century park design; it is used for walking, informal recreation, and community events. Seasonal markets and public programs are regularly held on the park grounds.
Henry Shaw provided the land and supported the park’s development in the late 1800s; the layout and many decorative features date from that period, and the park has been maintained as a public green space since its establishment.
