Torre Glòries is a modern, bullet-shaped skyscraper in Barcelona’s Poblenou district, adjacent to Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes. The building is a notable piece of contemporary architecture with a distinctive glass and metal façade that is illuminated at night.

Visitors typically view the tower from surrounding streets and plazas where its changing façade and coloured lighting are prominent features of Barcelona’s skyline. The tower houses offices and commercial spaces rather than large public galleries, and its shape and cladding technology are the principal attractions for architecture enthusiasts.

Designed by Jean Nouvel and completed in the early 2000s, the tower replaced earlier industrial uses in the area and became a landmark of the city’s recent urban regeneration. • Note that interior visits are limited because it is mainly office space-if you want panoramic city views, combine your visit with a nearby rooftop (for example at Disseny Hub exhibits) rather than expecting regular public access inside the tower.
