Torre dei Lamberti is a medieval civic tower in Verona that dominates Piazza delle Erbe and the surrounding historic centre. Construction began in 1172 and the tower was raised and modified over subsequent centuries.
The structure reaches roughly 84 metres and includes a belfry; from the upper terrace visitors get wide views across Verona’s historic roofs, the Adige River and nearby hills. An elevator has been installed to ease access to the viewing levels.
The tower sits in the heart of Verona’s old town adjacent to market squares and other civic buildings, and is often combined with visits to nearby Roman and medieval sites.
