Tofino/Long Beach Airport (YAZ): Tofino has a small regional airport with scheduled flights from Vancouver (YVR) and Nanaimo (YCD) - flight time from Vancouver is about 35-50 minutes. From YAZ the town centre is roughly 5-10 minutes by taxi or shuttle; expect taxi/shuttle fares around CAD 20-35 per person.

Train: There is no direct passenger rail service to Tofino. The closest rail services run on Vancouver Island only as part of VIA Rail to some mainland destinations; most visitors use road or air connections.
Bus/Ferry: The usual land route is ferry from Vancouver (Horseshoe Bay) to Nanaimo (Departure Bay), then drive Highway 4 across Vancouver Island to Tofino (approx 3-3.5 hours from Nanaimo including driving). Regional shuttle operators link Nanaimo or Parksville to Tofino and are a common choice for travellers without cars.
