Todt Hill

Todt Hill is a forested residential ridge on Staten Island, New York City, and is the highest natural point in the five boroughs at approximately 401 feet (122 metres) above sea level. The area is primarily suburban and residential with wooded lots and winding streets.

Its principal significance is topographic - the hill provides higher elevation and occasional skyline views toward New York Harbor and Manhattan from certain roads and clearings. The landscape is not a large public park but contains pockets of green space and lies adjacent to other Staten Island natural areas.

The hill’s name and hillside neighbourhood developed as Staten Island urbanized; many of the slopes are occupied by private homes and estates, with limited public summit infrastructure.

Todt Hill is located on Staten Island in New York City’s Richmond County, southwest of Staten Island’s central neighborhoods and separated from Manhattan by New York Harbor.
