The Meadows, Edinburgh

The Meadows is a large public park immediately south of Edinburgh’s Old Town, used as urban green space, recreation grounds and pedestrian routes. It offers wide, tree-lined avenues and extensive playing fields that support informal sports and leisure.

Paths through the park link residential areas to the university precinct and city centre, and the greens are commonly used for walking, running, team sports and occasional events.
