The King’s Grave (Kiviksgraven) is a Bronze Age stone chamber tomb in eastern Skåne noted for its carved stone slabs and prehistoric rock art. It is one of the region’s most significant prehistoric burial monuments and has been the subject of archaeological study and conservation.
The monument comprises a covered burial chamber enclosed by a stone mound, and several stone slabs bearing carved figures and symbols that are considered important examples of Bronze Age iconography in Scandinavia. The burial and its carvings were investigated and conserved in the 20th century, and selected finds and information are displayed locally.
The King’s Grave is located near the village of Kivik on the eastern coast of Skåne, close to the Baltic shoreline and within a rural landscape of farmed fields and small woods.
