Tha Bo (Nong Khai province) is most easily reached via Udon Thani Airport (UTH) or by rail/bus to Nong Khai. From Nong Khai town local songthaews, taxis and motorcycle taxis connect quickly to the district centre.
Udon Thani Airport (UTH): Udon Thani is the nearest commercial airport for Tha Bo. From Udon Thani Airport you can take a shared minivan or airport shuttle to Nong Khai (typical fare 150-250 THB, journey ~1-1.5 hours) and then a short local taxi or songthaew to Tha Bo (20-40 THB, 15-30 minutes).
Suvarnabhumi & Don Mueang (BKK/DMK): If you arrive in Bangkok most travellers continue by overnight train or long‑distance bus to Nong Khai. Domestic flights from Bangkok to Udon Thani cut the land leg; expect the Udon Thani connection above.
