How to Get to Tetnuldi #
Tetnuldi (the mountain and nearby ski area) is accessed from the Svaneti town of Mestia, which is the regional base for visitors. From Mestia you can reach trailheads, lodges and the Tetnuldi ski lift by local roads and short drives or organized transfers; many people base themselves in Mestia and travel by car, taxi or minibus to reach the mountain. Mountain access then continues on foot, by ski lift (in season) or on mountain tracks - road and weather conditions can be variable, so plan accordingly.

- Use Mestia as your operational base for Tetnuldi - most access, guides and vehicle hires originate there rather than from remote villages.
- Choose your season for your activity: summer and early morning offer the clearest trekking and alpine views, while winter is for the ski season (check local lift and road conditions before you go).
- Arrange local transport or a guide with a high-clearance vehicle; mountain roads and weather can change quickly and independent access beyond Mestia is often rough.
