How to Get to Tatvan
Ergani is most conveniently reached via Diyarbakır Airport followed by a road transfer. Overland travel around the region relies on intercity buses and shared minibuses rather than rail.
Diyarbakır Airport (DIY): Diyarbakır is the nearest major airport for Ergani. From Diyarbakır airport you can reach Ergani by taxi or regional bus/minibus; travel time is about 1-1.5 hours by road depending on traffic and service.
Elazığ Airport (EZS): Elazığ is another regional airport used to access parts of Diyarbakır Province; ground travel times to Ergani are longer and will typically require a bus or car transfer.
Train: Ergani does not have frequent long-distance passenger rail services; the regional rail network in southeastern Turkey is limited compared with western lines.
Bus / Dolmuş: Intercity buses and dolmuş (shared minibuses) connect Ergani with Diyarbakır and other nearby towns. Buses from Diyarbakır run regularly and are the usual option for visitors without private transport.
