The airport has one passenger terminal with separate domestic and international check‑in and departure areas under the same roof; arrivals and departures are on adjacent levels so walking times are short. Facilities such as check‑in counters, security and immigration are all clustered in the same building, making transfers quick compared with larger hub airports.

Songshan is well connected to central Taipei; travel times to the main central districts are short (typically 15-30 minutes).

• Metro (Wenhu/Brown Line) - Songshan Airport station is directly at the terminal. Travel to Taipei Main Station requires one transfer and takes about 20-25 minutes; fares are typically NT$20-NT$40 depending on distance.
• Buses - City buses stop immediately outside the terminal and serve local neighbourhoods; useful for short local hops (fares low, typically NT$15-NT$30).
• Taxis - Readily available outside arrivals; trips into central Taipei usually take 10-25 minutes depending on traffic and cost NT$200-NT$400 (approximate).
• Ride‑share - Uber operates in Taipei; pickup points are outside the terminal.
• Driving - The airport is only a few kilometres from central Taipei; allow extra time in peak hours (short distances but congested corridors).

A compact terminal with the essentials for short‑haul travel: shops and eateries are available both landside and airside, with a smaller selection than Taoyuan. Free airport Wi‑Fi is provided in the terminal. Charging points are available in gate areas and seating zones. Basic passenger services (car rental desks, ATMs, information counters) and accessibility facilities are in place; some airlines and pay‑per‑use lounges operate in the departures area.
