The Ta’ Ħaġrat Temples are a pair of Neolithic megalithic temple structures near Mġarr on the island of Malta. They are part of the group of prehistoric temple sites that form the Megalithic Temples of Malta World Heritage property.
The site comprises two adjacent temple buildings arranged around forecourts and central chambers, with surviving megalithic walls and stone features typical of Maltese prehistoric temple architecture. The structures display carved stonework and internal altars and are examples of local ritual architecture from the late Neolithic.
Archaeological study has shown the temples date to the late Neolithic period associated with the Ġgantija phase of Maltese prehistory, and they have been conserved and studied as part of Malta’s prehistoric heritage.
Ta’ Ħaġrat lies near the village of Mġarr in north-central Malta and is accessible by local roads from surrounding towns and from Malta’s public transport network.
