Szikszó (Borsod‑Abaúj‑Zemplén) is best reached via Miskolc or Debrecen rail/bus connections. Budapest is the international gateway for overseas travellers, with onward trains to the northeast.

By Air

Debrecen International Airport (DEB): Nearest airport in eastern Hungary. From Debrecen you can reach Szikszó by train (via Miskolc) or by car; rail journey to Szikszó via Miskolc typically takes ~1.5-2 hours (including transfers) and domestic tickets are inexpensive.

Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD): Major international gateway. Take the 100E bus or taxi to Budapest Nyugati / Keleti station and then an intercity train to Miskolc; change for local trains to Szikszó. Total travel time ~3-4 hours depending on connections.

By Train & Bus
