The Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca is a medieval building in Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha, originally constructed as a Jewish house of worship in the late 12th century. It is one of the most intact examples of Mudéjar-style synagogue architecture in Spain.
The interior is distinguished by rows of horseshoe arches and slender columns that create a multibayed hall; the building is notable for its whitewashed walls and Moorish plasterwork. Built for Toledo’s Jewish community in the late 1100s, the building was taken out of synagogue use after the anti-Jewish disturbances of 1391 and converted to a Christian chapel under the name Santa María la Blanca.
