Świętokrzyski National Park

Świętokrzyski National Park protects the Łysogóry uplands in south-central Poland and conserves some of the country’s oldest mountain woodlands and geological features. It is one of Poland’s established national parks with both natural and cultural values.

Visitors typically follow marked trails that cross beech and fir forests and connect summit viewpoints and small nature reserves; the park’s terrain is rolling to moderately steep with prominent rocky outcrops. Key summits include Łysica, the park’s highest point, and Łysa Góra, which hosts a historic monastery complex.

The park was established in the mid-20th century to protect the distinctive flora, geology and cultural monuments of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains. Over time it has maintained managed trails, information centres and protected reserves for rare plant communities and forest stands.

The park lies in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in south-central Poland, near the city of Kielce and surrounding rural communities; it is accessible by road from regional towns and serves as a recreation and pilgrimage destination.
