Lidingö is an island and municipality in Stockholm County, immediately northeast of central Stockholm. It is an inhabited suburban island that forms part of the inner Stockholm archipelago and functions as a residential and cultural area close to the capital.

The island offers shoreline paths, residential districts, and cultural attractions such as Millesgården, a well-known sculpture museum and garden. The island is connected to mainland Stockholm by the main bridge, providing frequent road and public-transport links to the city.

  • Administrative status: Part of the Stockholm archipelago and administered as its own municipality within Stockholm County, combining residential suburbs with parks and shoreline.
