How to Get to Storsæterfossen #
From Geiranger village, follow Norwegian County Road 63 for about 2-3 km toward the waterfall turnoff; parking is roadside and the walk to the falls takes roughly 15-30 minutes on a marked trail. The path becomes wet and slippery close to the grotto, so expect a short scramble and spray from the falls.
Tips for Visiting Storsæterfossen #
- Park in Geiranger and approach on foot - the path to the falls branches off County Road 63 about 20 minutes' walk from the village.
- Bring a waterproof layer and protect electronics: the path takes visitors behind the curtain of water where spray is constant.
- Visit early morning or late evening in summer to avoid coach crowds from the fjord tours.
