Erected in the early 2000s as part of a civic renewal project for O’Connell Street, the spire replaced earlier monuments on the site and quickly became a distinctive piece of modern Dublin public art.
The spire stands on O’Connell Street in central Dublin, near Henry Street and within walking distance of the General Post Office and other central city landmarks.
