Söyembikä Tower, also rendered Soyembika Tower, is a historic leaning tower located within the Kazan Kremlin in Tatarstan, Russia. It is a multi-tiered masonry tower that is visually prominent in Kazan’s Kremlin ensemble.
The tower is traditionally associated with the Tatar ruler Söyembikä in local legend, though the exact date and circumstances of construction are subject to historical debate; construction is generally attributed to the late medieval or early modern period. The structure has seven tiers and a noticeable lean that contributes to its recognisability.
The tower forms part of the fortified Kremlin complex on a hill above the Kazanka River within central Kazan. It is close to other principal Kremlin buildings such as the Annunciation Cathedral and Kul Sharif Mosque and is routinely visited as part of tours of the Kremlin.
