Solliden Palace (the royal summer residence) is on the island of Öland just outside Borgholm. From the city of Kalmar drive across the Ölandsbron (Öland Bridge) onto Öland and follow Route 136 north to Borgholm - the drive is roughly 35-45 km and normally takes about 40-60 minutes.
Public transport: Kalmar Länstrafik operates buses from Kalmar to Borgholm; from Borgholm town center it’s a short walk (about 10-15 minutes, roughly 0.5-1 km) to the Solliden grounds.
