How to Get to Soisalo #
Soisalo is the large lake/island area in North Savo near the city of Kuopio. Use Kuopio as the usual base: arrive by road or rail to Kuopio, then take regional roads and local bridges that link the Soisalo lake and island system. Road 5 / E63 serves Kuopio (regional hub) and local municipal roads provide direct access to lakeside villages and trailheads on Soisalo.
Most visitors drive from Kuopio and reach lakeshore access points within a short drive; local boat landings and small piers give water access where needed.
