Soave Castle

Soave Castle (Castello di Soave) is a medieval fortress on a hill above the town of Soave in the Veneto region of Italy. Its origins date to the early Middle Ages and it was expanded and fortified through the medieval period.

The site features a dominant keep and extensive curtain walls with towers, and it is visited for its preserved fortifications and panoramic views over the surrounding plain and vineyards. Pathways around the ramparts allow visitors to walk portions of the defensive circuit.

The castle was developed and modified over several centuries, with significant medieval construction attributed to local feudal lords and later modifications in the High Middle Ages; parts of the complex date to roughly the 10th to 14th centuries. It has served primarily as a defensive stronghold and later as a landmark of the town.
