Smrk (Jizera Mountains)

Smrk is the highest mountain of the Jizera Mountains, reaching approximately 1,124 metres above sea level and forming a prominent ridge on the Czech-Polish border. It is a focal point for hillwalking in the Liberec Region.

Marked upland trails approach the summit through forest and montane heath; the top provides views along the Jizera range on clear days. The area is managed for recreation and forestry and is used for year-round mountain walking.

The mountain sits in the border zone between the Czech Republic and Poland within the Liberec administrative region, surrounded by other Jizera ridges and upland plateaus.
