Smolenice Castle is a reconstructed castle near the village of Smolenice in the Trnava Region of Slovakia, located in the Little Carpathians. The site preserves the footprint of an older medieval fortress and was rebuilt in the early 20th century.
The castle complex includes restored historic rooms, a courtyard and surrounding parkland that are used for events and visits tied to its role as a conference centre. Architectural elements reflect the romantic, neo-Gothic style of the 20th-century reconstruction.
A medieval fortress originally stood on the site; it fell into ruin and was later rebuilt in the early 1900s in a historicist style. In the postwar period the property came under institutional ownership and is now used for scientific and cultural gatherings.
The castle lies on the northern slopes of the Little Carpathians near the village of Smolenice in Trnava Region, set within forested hills that form part of the Little Carpathian range.
