Slavyanka, also known as Alibotush in some sources, is a mountain range on the border between southwestern Bulgaria and northern Greece, in Blagoevgrad Province when referenced from the Bulgarian side. The range is notable for steep, rocky ridges and high-elevation terrain.
The area features rugged peaks, karst formations and alpine plant communities that attract hikers and naturalists. Trails lead to high viewpoints and the summits give views over nearby valleys and, on clear days, into neighbouring Greece.
The range has been used traditionally for pastoralism, forestry and local mountain travel; it also forms a natural frontier between the two countries. Its geological composition includes limestone and marble in many sectors, producing distinctive cliffs and caves.
Slavyanka lies in southwestern Bulgaria close to the Greek border and near the Bulgarian town of Sandanski, forming part of the complex mountainous terrain of the southern Balkans.
