How to Get to Šlapanice

Šlapanice lies just east of Brno and is most convenient to reach via Brno-Tuřany Airport or Brno hlavní nádraží with a short onward bus or taxi. For visiting Šlapanice itself, local buses and taxis from Brno are the most practical choices.

By Air

Brno-Tuřany Airport (BRQ): The nearest airport to Šlapanice, about 10-20 km (roughly 20-30 minutes by car). From BRQ you can take a taxi or airport shuttle to Brno city centre (taxi ~300-600 CZK, 20-30 min) and then a local bus to Šlapanice. Car hire at BRQ is common and the drive to Šlapanice is short.

Vienna International Airport (VIE): An alternative for international travellers (about 120-140 km, ~1.5-2 hours by car or shuttle). From Vienna you can take trains to Brno (around 1.5-2 hours, fares vary) and then a local bus or taxi to Šlapanice.

By Train & Bus

Train: The main rail hub is Brno hlavní nádraží (Brno main station). From Brno you can reach Šlapanice by frequent regional buses or a short taxi ride; some regional trains serve nearby stations, but direct rail service to Šlapanice is limited.
