Siniolchu is a high Himalayan peak in North Sikkim, India, noted for steep, sharply pointed ridges and striking glaciated slopes. The mountain reaches approximately 6,888 metres in elevation and lies close to the Kangchenjunga massif.
Climbers and photographers prize the peak for its dramatic north and south faces and alpine scenery rather than for very high-altitude technical routes alone. Approaches are through glacier and high-mountain terrain typical of eastern Sikkim.
Siniolchu is located in the Indian state of Sikkim in the eastern Himalaya, within a network of high peaks, glaciers and high-altitude valleys. It is in a remote mountain area north of the lowland plains and is accessed via Sikkim’s mountain approaches.
