Si Phana (Bueng Kan province) requires overland connections from regional hubs such as Udon Thani, Nong Khai or Nakhon Phanom. There are no direct national rail links; buses and minivans provide the most reliable access into Bueng Kan, with local transfers completing the trip.
Udon Thani Airport (UTH): Udon Thani is a common gateway for northeastern Thailand with flights to Bangkok and some regional routes. From Udon Thani you’ll need a bus or minivan towards Bueng Kan province and local onward transport to Si Phana; combined travel time is typically 2-4 hours and costs for bus/minivan legs are around 150-350 THB.
Nakhon Phanom Airport (KOP): Nakhon Phanom offers some regional flights and is an alternate air entry to the Mekong-side provinces. From there, overland transfers toward Bueng Kan are required and travel times vary by connection; costs are similar to other regional intercity bus legs (100-300 THB).
