• Use the People's Square entrance (served by metro lines 1/2/8) for the most direct access; enter early and head to the bronze and jade halls first, which draw the biggest crowds.
• Don't skip the upper floors: the calligraphy and painting galleries are quieter and contain highlights many visitors miss when they focus only on the ground‑floor antiquities.
