The Serranía de Ronda is a mountain region in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, surrounding the historic town of Ronda. The range is characterised by limestone ridges, deep gorges and scattered white villages known locally as pueblos blancos.

Main attractions include the town of Ronda with its dramatic El Tajo gorge and the 18th-century Puente Nuevo bridge, as well as mountain roads and trails that lead to viewpoints, caves and rural villages. The terrain is used for hiking, riding and rural tourism with a mix of agricultural terraces and natural areas.

Geologically the Serranía de Ronda is a karstic landscape with elevated limestone plateaus and steep escarpments that have been shaped by erosion. Over centuries the area has supported pastoral agriculture and small settlements adapted to the mountainous terrain.

• Arrive in Ronda and see the Puente Nuevo at first light or late afternoon to avoid the day-tour bus crowds and to get the best light on the gorge walls.
• Park in the designated car parks outside the historic centre and enter on foot-Ronda's central streets are narrow and parking inside is very limited, so walking in from a short distance saves time and hassle.
