Seneca Creek State Park is a Maryland state park in Montgomery County that protects stretches of Seneca Creek along with woodlands and a recreational lake. The park is managed for both conservation and a range of outdoor activities.

The park’s principal recreational feature is Clopper Lake, a roughly 90-acre reservoir offering boating, fishing and picnicking; there are also multi-use trails for hiking and biking along the creek corridor. Park facilities include picnic sites and trails suitable for day visits from the greater Washington, D.C. area.

The park was developed by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources to provide public recreation while conserving the Seneca Creek corridor and lake shoreline. Over time facilities for boating, fishing and trail use were added to support public access.

Seneca Creek State Park is northwest of Washington, D.C., near Gaithersburg and Darnestown, Maryland. From I‑270, take exits toward Washington Grove/MD‑28 and follow local roads to park entrances; the main recreational area is near 15950 Clopper Road.
