Sendai Daikannon is a large statue and temple complex in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, dedicated to the bodhisattva Kannon. The monument is notable for its very large seated figure which visitors can enter to view internal displays and observation levels.
The site functions as a Buddhist place of worship and a visitor attraction, with religious displays and viewpoints accessed inside the statue. The complex includes temple facilities and is used for devotional activity as well as sightseeing.
