How to Get to Seltjarnarnes
Seltjarnarnes is a suburb/peninsula immediately northwest of Reykjavík and is served by Reykjavík's bus network. International visitors arrive via Keflavík (KEF) and transfer to Reykjavík, then use local buses, taxis or bike/walk to Seltjarnarnes.
Keflavík International Airport (KEF): KEF is Iceland’s main international airport. From KEF take the Flybus/airport coach or a private transfer to Reykjavík’s BSI bus terminal (about 40-60 minutes depending on traffic). From BSI you can catch a local bus or taxi to Seltjarnarnes - total journey from KEF to Seltjarnarnes is about 45-75 minutes.
Reykjavík Domestic Airport (RKV): RKV handles domestic flights and is located in Reykjavík proper. If you arrive at RKV you can reach Seltjarnarnes quickly by a short taxi or local Strætó bus; travel time is around 10-15 minutes.
Train: Iceland has no passenger rail network.
