Selbusjøen is the long lake beside the municipality of Selbu, southeast of Trondheim. By car it’s about a 30-40 minute drive from central Trondheim (roughly 30-40 km) following the E6 south/east out of the city and then county roads toward Selbu (Rv705 provides direct access into the Selbu area). The main villages on the lake are a short walk from roadside parking or from the local bus stops in Selbu (typically 5-15 minutes on foot to the shore).
