Schwetzingen Palace

Schwetzingen Palace is an 18th-century palace complex in Schwetzingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, noted for its landscaped gardens and historic court theatre. It served as a summer residence for the Electors Palatine and retains a large designed garden ensemble.

The complex includes the palace building, extensive formal gardens with both French and English-style sections, and numerous garden follies and pavilions such as a mosque-style pavilion and classical temples. The site also contains a preserved court theatre used for performances and the annual Schwetzingen Festival of opera and classical music.
