How to Get to Schladming
Schladming (Styria) is served by regional trains via Salzburg and by road from Salzburg or Munich. The town's station (Schladming Bahnhof) is on the Enns valley line and regular connections make it a straightforward rail destination.
Salzburg Airport (SZG): Salzburg is a convenient regional airport for Schladming; from Salzburg city/train station the rail journey to Schladming takes roughly 1.5-2 hours. Car rental and taxis are available at the airport.
Munich Airport (MUC): Munich is another international option with more connections; expect about 2.5-3.5 hours onward by car or coach to reach Schladming.
Train (ÖBB / Regionalexpress): Schladming has its own station (Schladming Bahnhof) on the Enns Valley line. Trains run from Salzburg (and from Vienna via transfers) with journey times from Salzburg of about 1.5-2 hours; fares vary by service but regional tickets are commonly €15-€35.
Coach / Regional bus: There are also direct coaches from Salzburg and some international airports during ski season - coaches can be convenient for winter transfers carrying ski equipment.

Schladming’s centre is compact and very walkable; the train station links the town to regional ÖBB services and ski buses run to nearby lift stations in winter. Local bus services and tourist shuttles make getting around the ski area straightforward. During ski season free shuttle buses operate between accommodation and lifts; in summer there are marked hiking and cycling routes. Taxis are available but can be in demand during big events.
