Sázava Monastery

Sázava Monastery (Sázavský klášter) is an early medieval Benedictine foundation on the Sázava River in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic, noted for its early-11th-century origins and association with Saint Procopius.

The monastery complex offers historic church architecture and monastic buildings that show multiple phases of construction, including Romanesque foundations and later Baroque alterations. The riverside setting and surviving monastic spaces provide insight into medieval monastic life and Slavic liturgical traditions.
