How to Get to Savave Village
Savave Village (Nukufetau) is reached via Funafuti International Airport (FUN) followed by an inter-island transfer. Nukufetau has no regular airport service-marine transfers are the standard link.
Funafuti International Airport (FUN): All international arrivals to Tuvalu land at Funafuti. To reach Nukufetau/Savave Village you must transfer from Funafuti by inter-island boat or an occasional charter; from the airport to Funafuti’s main settlement it’s about 10-20 minutes by taxi (small cash fare, see local rates).
(No airport on Nukufetau): Nukufetau does not have regular scheduled air service; Funafuti is the entry point.
Train: There are no rail services in Tuvalu.
Bus / Boat: Travel to Savave Village is by boat from Funafuti. Government and community boats operate supply and passenger runs on non-fixed schedules; private charters are sometimes available. Confirm times and fares in Funafuti before planning.
