Potes is served by regional buses from nearby towns in Cantabria (check local ALSA schedules); if you arrive by bus in Potes the monastery is reachable by a short taxi ride or a 30-40 minute walk uphill from the town centre.

• Aim for early morning or late afternoon outside scheduled mass times to see the Lignum Crucis relic and the church interior with fewer pilgrims and better light for photos.
