The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro is a hilltop Marian shrine on Monte Sameiro overlooking the city of Braga in northern Portugal. It is one of the country’s principal Marian pilgrimage sites.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro sits on Monte Sameiro just north of Braga. It is reachable by car from Braga city centre in about 10-15 minutes along the local uphill roads signed to Sameiro; parking is available near the sanctuary. Local buses and tourist minibuses from Braga also serve the sanctuary area (check the Braga municipal bus timetables), and from the nearest bus stop it’s a short, steep walk up to the church.
