San Miguel de Allende Municipality

San Miguel de Allende Municipality is an administrative area in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, centered on the colonial town of San Miguel de Allende. The town’s historic center and nearby religious sites make the municipality a major cultural and tourist destination.

Within the municipality the principal attractions include the town’s historic core with its central plaza and the landmark Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel, as well as nearby religious sites that together formed the basis of the UNESCO World Heritage inscription.
