The San Marino Historic Centre and Mount Titano comprise the walled medieval town and the rocky ridge on which it stands in the microstate of San Marino. The site combines civic architecture, fortifications and panoramic hilltop setting.

The towers and walls provide viewpoints over the surrounding Italian countryside and are principal visitor attractions.
Local tradition traces the community’s foundation to Saint Marinus in the early 4th century, and the town developed through the medieval period as a fortified hill settlement. The towers and public buildings were constructed and adapted between the medieval and early modern periods to serve defensive and administrative functions.
