San Jacinto Peak

San Jacinto Peak is the highest summit of the San Jacinto Mountains in Southern California, rising to 10,834 feet (3,302 metres). It is a dominant local landmark overlooking the Coachella Valley and the Palm Springs area.

Visitors come for alpine scenery, high-elevation hiking, and panoramic views; common approaches include long trails from trailheads in the surrounding wilderness and combinations using the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to shorten the ascent. The peak is within designated wilderness and popular among experienced hikers.
