How to Get to San Antonio (Higuillar)
San Antonio (Higuillar) in Dorado is most conveniently reached from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) by taxi or rental car. Public buses and Tren Urbano-to-Bayamón transfers are cheaper but typically require an onward taxi for the final stretch.
Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU): The main arrival point for Dorado / San Antonio (Higuillar). From SJU, driving to Dorado takes around 20-35 minutes depending on traffic; taxis or rideshares typically cost USD 20-40. Rental cars are readily available at SJU.
Isla Grande (SIG): A small nearby airport serving Old San Juan; transfers to Dorado require road transport and take longer than direct travel from SJU, so SIG is not commonly used for Dorado arrivals.
Train: Tren Urbano does not reach Dorado; the closest effective rail transfer point is Bayamón on the Tren Urbano line (fare USD 0.75), followed by a bus or taxi.
