Saint Edward State Park

Saint Edward State Park is a public state park in Kenmore, Washington, comprising roughly 316 acres of forested hills and lakeshore and containing the historic seminary complex that overlooks Lake Washington.

The park offers a mix of short and longer trails through second-growth forest, picnic areas and shoreline access along Lake Washington; the seminary building is a prominent landmark on the main hill. Many users visit for walking, trail running, birdwatching and lakeside views; trail grades range from gentle shoreline paths to steeper forest routes.

The property was originally developed as a Catholic seminary and later transferred into state park management in the mid to late 20th century; the seminary building has been the subject of restoration and adaptive reuse discussions since its transfer. Over time the park has remained largely forested, with maintained trails and picnic facilities added for public recreation.

The park sits on the western shore of Lake Washington in King County, immediately adjacent to the city of Kenmore and north of Lake Washington Boulevard. It is about 12 miles (20 km) northeast of downtown Seattle and is set between suburban neighborhoods and the lake shore.
