Saint Catherine's Monastery

Saint Catherine’s Monastery in Tallinn is the medieval Dominican convent complex located in the city’s Old Town, with surviving fabric and an adjacent narrow lane known as St. Catherine’s Passage. The ensemble preserves masonry remains and a historic pedestrian passage that is active with craft workshops.

The passage is notable for its concentration of artisans’ studios and small galleries, where traditional handicrafts and demonstrations are on display; the surviving church and convent fragments sit adjacent to this lane. The site is compact and commonly visited as part of a walking tour of Tallinn’s historic centre.
