Rubjerg Knude lighthouse is a coastal lighthouse on the northwest coast of Jutland in northern Denmark, built to serve shipping off the North Sea coast. The structure sits atop a rapidly changing sand-dune system and has been subject to severe coastal erosion and dune migration.
The lighthouse historically acted as a navigational aid for the treacherous coastal waters along the Danish North Sea coast and is a local landmark because of its dramatic setting on shifting dunes. The surrounding landscape features extensive sandy dunes and a coastline that has moved appreciably over the last century.
The tower was constructed in the early 20th century and later decommissioned as services modernized; erosion gradually brought the sea closer to the structure. In October 2019 the lighthouse was moved inland by heavy-lift equipment to protect it from collapse due to ongoing coastal erosion.

There is a visitor parking area close to the dunes; from the car park the lighthouse is typically about a 1 km walk across the sand/dunes. Regional buses run to nearby towns (Lønstrup/Løkken) from where you can take a short taxi or cycle to the site.
