Røros Mining Town and the Circumference is a historic copper-mining settlement and surrounding industrial landscape in central Norway, centered on a 17th-century mining town. The ensemble preserves town buildings, mining infrastructure and the broader landscape shaped by centuries of extraction.

The town preserves a compact grid of timber houses, workshops and merchants’ buildings that date largely from the 17th to 19th centuries, giving a clear impression of an early industrial community.
