Revolution Square is a prominent public square in central Bucharest, Romania, known for its role in the 1989 events that ended communist rule in the country.

The square was the stage for major mass protests in December 1989; a large rally and speeches from the Central Committee building are among the most significant moments associated with the site. The area’s buildings have since been repurposed for cultural and civic uses, including the Royal Palace as an art museum.
